The cost of building a £300m international media centre on the London Olympics site looks likely to be met entirely from public funds after interest from the private sector was said to be low.
Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt told the Observer that he had resisted calls for the press office to be housed in a temporary building, but said there had so far been little interest from news organisations in taking space.
