TMG replaces Indy as publisher of UCAS clearing info

Telegraph Media Group has replaced The Independent as the national newspaper conrtacted to publish annual clearing listings for those wishing to move into higher education.

The publisher of The Daily and Sunday Telegraph said today that it had secured rights to publish clearing information as part of a new two-year deal with UCAS.

Under the terms of the deal, TMG will have exclusive rights to publish university vacancies across the UK in August following the release of A-level and other qualification results.

In addition, TMG’s deal also allows it the rights to additional higher education direct mail and online publications targeted at students, parents, teachers and advisers.

Mark Skipworth, TMG executive editor, said: ‘Education has been a significant focus for us in editorial over the past few years and this is an exciting step forward for the Telegraph.

‘We look forward to providing prospective students and their parents with valuable insight into Higher Education.’
