Fighting for quality news media in the digital age.

Peston, McCall and Bailey to speak at Editors’ conference

Trinity Mirror boss Sly Bailey, Guardian Media Group chief executive Carolyn McCall, BBC’s business editor Robert Peston and Andrew Marr have all been added as speakers for next month’s Society of Editor’s conference.

Other speakers include Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre, chief of the defence staff Sir Jock Stirrup, Information Commissioner Richard Thomas, PCC chairman Sir Christopher Meyer and former spokesman for the McCanns Clarence Mitchell.

Society of Editors president Simon Buck said: ‘The conference will focus on the most pressing topic facing every editor: how to manage the twin demands of digital revolution while maintaining growth in ‘old media’ operations. It will tap into the experience of editors across all sectors of the media, explore best practice and the best ways of winning new audiences and encouraging the revenue that goes with them.”

The conference will take place at the Marriott Royal Hotel in Bristol from the 9 to 11 November.
