Johann Hari is to join Condé Nast’s GQ magazine from as one of three new columnists.
The May issue of the men’s glossy will see the debut of former England cricketer turned Times leader writer, Ed Smith, who will write a new sport column and David Rowan, editor of Wired UK, who will pen a regular technology column.
They will be joined by Independent newspaper journalist Hari from June.
GQ has also revamped its Talk section from the May issue, which will be accompanied by GQ Speed, a new editorial supplement sponsored by TAG Heuer, including interviews with Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.
According the most recent figures supplied by the Audit Bureau of Circulations, GQ had average monthly sales of 120,057 during the second half of 2009, a fall of 7.7 per cent year-on-year.
