Former Australian cricketer Shame Warne has been signed up by Telegraph Media Group as a columnist.
Warne, who is one of the all-time greats of the game, has signed a four-year deal with the Telegraph to cover the next two Ashes series starting later this year.
Ben Clissitt, TMG head of sport, said: “I am delighted to welcome Shane Warne to the Telegraph.
‘He has both a shrewd cricket brain and an engaging character. He will be a huge asset to the paper through this Ashes series and the next.”
Warne, who was the first bowler to take 700 test wickets, joins a host of other high profile figures from the cricketing world, Michael Vaughan, Geoffrey Boycott, Derek Pringle, at The Telegraph.
