The lavish New York mansion once owned by publisher Robert Guccione, where Penthouse models and cover girls used to cavort, has been sold.
It’s been bought by a Wall Street financier Philip Falcone for $49 million. The 29 room townhouse on Manhattan’s East Side has been on the market for several years. It was seized by Guccione’s creditors when his company had financial problems back in 2002 and the man whose magazine outsexed Playboy had to give up the residence in 2006.
The sprawling 27-room house had every amenity, including a full-floor master bedroom, a study, solarium, private terrace and indoor swimming pool with marble statues. There is even a private theatre, dance floor, sauna and servants’ quarters. One broker who toured the property joked: “It’s got everything but the girls”
