Caroline Corcoran, a senior consultant at Heat magazine, takes over as the new editor of the Daily Mirror’s celebrity website 3am next month.
Corcoran, who has also held a series of senior roles at More, Sugar, X-Factor Magazine and Fabulous, takes over the role from Isabel Mohan, who has edited 3am.co.uk since its launch two years ago and is leaving to concentrate on her writing career.
Corcoran, who joins the Mirror team on 5 December, said: “I’m so excited to join the very talented team at 3am.co.uk. I’m looking forward to the challenge of working with them to take 3am to the next level.”
The publisher of Mirror Group Digital, Matt Kelly, said: “Isabel will be a very tough act to follow but we’re absolutely thrilled to have attracted someone of Caroline’s calibre.
“There are exciting times ahead for 3am and she brings a huge amount of experience and creativity to the team.”
Corcoran will report directly to Ben Rankin, the editor of Mirror.co.uk.
