Wareable, a website dedicated to delivering news about wearable technology, claims to been averaging more than 2m monthly unique users just over a year after its launch.
The UK-based site has an editorial team of five and is privately funded. It does not currently carry advertising and declined to reveal what its current revenue sources are.
Michael Sawh, whoo was announced as the site's new editor this week, said: "Every page that a Wareable reader lands on aims to add value and insight into the world of wearable technology.”
“There’s a great team making great content on a beautiful website. While most consumer technology sites do cover wearable technology, I feel that Wareable has found a niche in the market and taken coverage of the subject to another level.”
Senior editor James Stables said readers sway between “the general user who wants a review of wearables and the super-techy early adopter who wants all available information on new must have releases”. Content includes breaking news, in-depth features and reviews.
