Follow the Press Awards live online tonight

By admin

Journalists from across the UK national newspaper industry will be heading to the Savoy in London tonight for the 2011 Press Awards, which will be hosted by Sky News presenter Anna Botting.

Live video from the gala event will be streamed online at www.pressawards.org.uk and the winners will be tweeted in real time at @PressAwardsuk. You can join in the conversation using the hashtag #pressawards

Society of Editors executive director Bob Satchwell said: “Reflecting the multi-platform nature of newspapers the Press Awards have been judged and managed online through a bespoke website developed by MagStar Ltd and it is fitting that the awards ceremony should also be shared with the widest audience using latest online technology.”

See the shortlists here and share your predictions below. Who’ll win newspaper of the year? Which title will pick up the most awards? Press Gazette will publish the full list of winners overnight.
