The Golf, the magazine for VW car owners, has changed its name as part of a redesign.
From the June issue, out next week, The Golf will be known as The Golf+ to emphasise its widened coverage. The title will continue to feature sporting and performance VW Golfs but will now also offer more technical advice and cover other cars from the VW range, as well as SEATs.
The revamp includes extra pages, an updated logo incorporating the strapline “the hottest modified VWs” and a new layout creating more space for pictures.
New fonts and margins have been added to make it easier for readers to find their way around the pages. The classified advertising pages have been extended to feature buying guides for each make of Golf and more space has been added between ads. The Golf’s website also boasts a new look at www.thegolf.co.uk.
Editor Steve Kirk said: “Plus equals more, and that’s what we’ll be giving our readers from the June issue.”
Kirk said the redesign aimed, ultimately, to attract new readers.
