Will Ham Bevan is to step down as deputy editor of The Sunday Times Travel Magazine to go freelance, but will continue to write features and a column for the magazine. Nick Redman, formerly of the Evening Standard travel desk, will be taking over from him.
Ham Bevan said: “It’s been fantastic to have a hand in taking Travel to the top of its market.Now we’re switching to a monthly format and expanding the team, it seemed the natural point to cut loose and follow my freelance ambitions: I’ll be doing more travelling and more writing. And everyone’s stoked to the rafters that we managed to get Nick Redman to take my seat here-he’s from the top division.”
