The South Wales Argus recorded an increase in sales in the first half of 2003. The Monday-Saturday Audit Bureau of Circulations’ sales figure showed a 2.5 per cent rise on the same period last year. The Monday-Saturday base sale figure, excluding bulks, is up 4.1 per cent on 2002.
The paper won the top Newspaper Society award for its base sales increase in 2002.
Editor Gerry Keighley, pictured left, said: “These figures are yet another massive tribute to the hard work of everyone at the paper. Our editorial and newspaper sales teams, in particular, have worked very hard to ensure the continuation of our sales success.”
