The Guardian has today launched an International Development Journalism Competition for aspiring and professional journalists.
Finalists will have the opportunity to travel abroad to Africa or Asia for hands-on journalistic experience, thanks to supporting charities including: Marie Stopes International, CARE International UK and the International Childcare Trust.
The 16 finalists will have their articles published in The Guardian newspaper and online. The two winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November this year.
The deadline for entries is 13 June 2011.
