Emap has revamped its top-selling motorcycle title, Bike, in the hope of boosting flagging sales.
The
magazine showed an 11 per cent circulation drop in the February ABCs,
while all but one of Emap’s other motoring and biking titles also
declined.
Managers have reshuffled staff, putting former Emap Automotive editor-inchief John Westlake in charge of Bike.
Westlake
said: “Bike has always been the most original and intelligent read for
anyone into bikes, but we want to build on this platform and make Bike
funnier and more exciting.”
The May issue, which appeared on
Wednesday, includes a cover story on Britain’s highest mileage
motorcyclist, a 63-year-old who rides 200,000 miles a year.
