The Mail on Sunday’s redesigned You magazine will be sold on newsstands from 7 March, writes Zoe Smith.
It will be available every Tuesday with a cover price of £1 and an expected circulation of 50,000.
The magazine’s editor, Sue Peart, said: "You is already the best-loved women’s magazine in Britain. But research shows that there are some women, younger women who, for one of any number of reasons, may not be aware of You, but if they have access to it may really love it."
Peart said the magazine has been "refreshed" from front to back and had a new "clean and contemporary" look, and added that the revamp was more than just cosmetic, with revisions to the content as well.
Associated Newspapers remained tight-lipped on how the new You will differ from the plethora of women’s magazines on the market, but said they were confident the magazine would draw new readers into the newspaper.
"We have a very strong, passionately loved product, so the decision is to make it open to a wider group of women who may well then become MoS readers.
If they know they can get it free with the MoS then they will feed back into the main brand," said Peart.
