Vogue signings boost features department

By Press Gazette

Vogue has strengthened its features team and signed the Big Issue’s commissioning editor Alice Fisher, writes Ruth Addicott.

The move coincides with a series of new appointments. Fisher, who has freelanced for titles such as ID, Time Out, The Observer magazine and The Face, will replace Jo Craven, who has been promoted to Vogue’s features editor.

“It is going to be an exciting place to work. Vogue manages to cover a wide range of issues, not just fashion,” said Fisher.

Craven clinched the top features post following the departure of Bronwyn Cosgrave, who left to edit HN Magazine. Prior to her post as commissioning editor on Vogue, Craven worked for Tatler and the Literary Review.

Chloe Fox is also due to join the glossy in April from The Saturday Telegraph magazine as features associate, writer/producer and Francesca Martin has been promoted from fashion production editor to features co-ordinator.

“We have got a totally new features team which is going to be fun. We will continue to do what is Vogue’s rubber stamp by covering movers and shakers. We also have a number of themed issues coming up,” Craven added.
