The Times is set to cash in on the newspaper craze for Su doku
number puzzle games by launching a mobile phone version. The paper’s
readers have been given the opportunity to download 10 games to their
mobiles at a cost of £4.50.
The newspaper has launched the mobile
version of the cult brain teaser game with front page promotion. Users
can access and pay for the game from any mobile network using
technology from Bango.
The Su doku service is being run by Bango, which already sells Page Three images to mobile phones for The Sun.
Readers
access their suduko games by texting “sudoku” to a number – they are
then presented with a range of methods to pay for it, which include
adding it to their phone bill or using a credit or debit card.
