The SundayTelegraph’s city editor is leaving the paper to
pursue other interests.
George Trefgarne, 36, became city editor in October 2005
under then editor Sarah Sands. He was previously economics editor and comment
editor of the paper.
Sunday Telegraph editor Patience Wheatcroft said: “It has
been a pleasure to work with George. I wish him well in the future.
Both as a writer and as an executive, he has had a distinguished career
here.”
Trefgarne said: “I've been at the Telegraph Group for ten
years and it's time to move on. I would like to extend my warmest regards to
Patience Wheatcroft and I have the greatest respect and affection for both of
the Telegraph titles.”
