Square One to publish specialist watch magazine

By Press Gazette

Customer magazine publisher Square One Publishing has been awarded the contract to produce a magazine for department store watch specialists David Morris International.

The 52-page perfect-bound glossy is due to launch next October and will feature the latest collection of watches from the London and Manchester showrooms at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

It will have a print run of 185,000 and be available for customers in-store. There are also plans by Square One to distribute copies with editions of London’s Evening Standard.

Square One won the contract following a competitive pitch involving two other publishers.

The new launch will sit alongside the company’s existing titles for clients such as Direct Line, BBC Worldwide, Saks, Superdrug and Thames Water.

Square One is an independent contract publishing company. It was founded in South London by Peter Dean and Sean King in 1992 and publishes a series of business-to-business and consumer titles.
