Soaplife to be star performer in ABCs

By Press Gazette

Uncut, Chat, Soaplife and In Style were expected to post double-digit growth in the latest ABC circulation figures, due out on Thursday.

Soaplife, which dipped 2.7 per cent in the July to December 2002 ABCs, is set to be one of the fastest-growing titles following the huge publicity surrounding the demise of Richard Hillman in Coronation Street and the fascination for TV soaps.

In the men’s sector, FHMis expected to be up and Stuff should post its sixth consecutive rise.

Loaded’s performances is likely to be representative of the slowdown in the sector as a whole.

Although Glamour is likely to remain top of the women’s lifestyle monthlies, titles such as Marie Claire are expected to take a hit following the impact of SARS and a decline in overseas travel.

Top of The Pops is expected to perform well and Woman & Home is predicted to report a double-digit rise.
