Zoe Richards has been appointed the new editor of IPC’s Hair magazine and former editor Kate Barlow has been brought back to act as a consultant.
Barlow, currently editor of IPC’s Wedding & Home magazine, has been promoted to editor-in-chief and will oversee both titles. She said: “It’s great to be back on Hair and I’m looking forward to working with Zoe once more.
She is a hugely talented editor who understands the industry inside out.”
Barlow left Hair last year and handed the reins to Lisa Allen. Richards will take the place of Allen, who left to edit BBC Good Homes magazine this summer.
Richards has a solid background in hair and beauty magazines, having begun her career as a beauty writer at Style Publishing, working across Hair & Beauty, Hair Now, Hair for You and Wedding Hair & Beauty. She later became editor of Hair & Beauty. She is due to join Hair on 3 November.
