Lynda Lee-Potter’s successor for her Wednesday Daily Mail column is awardwinning journalist Allison Pearson.
Mail
editor Paul Dacre said: “Allison is in a class of her own. She is
possessed of a sharp intelligence combined with a mischievous sense of
humour and a warm understanding of the problems facing so many
families.”
Dacre claimed Lee-Potter said Pearson was her natural
successor. Pearson said her new column would provide her with “a unique
opportunity to have a weekly conversation with millions of readers”.
She has been named Critic of the Year and Interviewer of the Year in the Press Gazette British Press Awards.
