Paper’s campaign to beat the bullies

By Press Gazette

The Bromsgrove & Droitwich Standard has launched an anti-bullying campaign to mark national anti-bullying week.

As
part of its Back Off! campaign the 40,647 circulation free paper has
had 5,000 bookmarks produced which will be distributed to schools in
the area.

They feature the campaign’s slogan along with the words “don’t suffer in silence”.

The
paper is running the campaign with the British Free Fighting
Association, which highlights ways children can avoid conflict and gain
confidence.

Standard editor Tristan Harris said: “I thought this
was a simple and effective way to send the anti-bullying message to
children which I hope will be valuable to those who need it.”

Back Off! comes after a spate of horrific attacks on school children throughout the country that have made headline news.
