A former editor and an ex-national newspaper political editor, who worked together for 10 years in the regions, have founded a new press and PR agency on their old Home Counties stamping ground.
Andrew Kelly (right) and Matt Knowles opened Associated Media Group (AMG) this week to provide 24-hour news, features and sports coverage in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Kelly was editor of The Sunday Independent, Plymouth, until 2002, and was a one-time editorial director of Local Sunday Newspapers, publishers of Bedfordshire on Sunday and a string of other papers.
Knowles is a past political editor of The Sunday Times, Scotland, and a Daily Mail reporter. They met in 1992 when both joined LSN.
Knowles said: “We spent years in newsrooms. We know what journalists want and we know how to deliver it.”
