PA journalist
Wesley Johnson has been filing words, pictures and video from Australia
as part of his coverage of the Peter Falconio murder trial.
Johnson,
25, based in PA’s Leeds office, was sent to cover the trial of alleged
murderer Bradley Murdoch at the Northern Territory Supreme Court in
Darwin.
In addition to filing full reports and pictures for the
PA wire he used a lightweight Canon digital camera to shoot video which
the agency’s multimedia newsroom used in bulletins for Sun Online,
Tiscali and NEP’s “this is” newspaper websites.
Some of the footage included pictures of Joanne Lees, the prosecution’s main witness and the girlfriend of backpacker Falconio.
Words, pictures and video were all emailed back to PA’s London newscentre.
“It
is nice to think my stories went to a bigger audience because I was
able to illustrate them with stills and moving pictures,” said Johnson.
