Move at Emap

By Press Gazette

Emma Hawes has moved to Emap’s fortnightly magazine More! to take up the new position of real life editor. She will be responsible for developing the content from readers’ stories.

Hawes, 29, leaves INS News Group in Reading, Berkshire, where she has been a feature writer for more than two years.

Trained in news, she began her career on county weekly The Hereford Times before moving to Oxfordshire’s Henley Standard.

After five years in local reporting, she moved to INS as a reporter, and later made the change to features after a brief stint specialising in disability news for Scope’s Disability Now.

She said of her appointment: “It was always my ambition to be an editor by the time I was 30, and it’s fantastic not only to have achieved this, but to be taking up the position at such a brilliant magazine.
