Boom, a magazine which sent out to 50,000 new-money millionaires, has been launched on the newsstand in selected areas to increase its paid-for readership. The 132-page glossy, which launched in May 2002 as a quarterly, is now a bimonthly. In keeping with the cover strapline, “the magazine of luxury”, the design is clean and upmarket, says publisher Shelton Fray. The current issue has interviews with fashion designer Julien Macdonald and celebrity party organiser Liz Brewer. Features cover buying property in Monaco; an exclusive test drive of the new Rolls Royce Phantom and modern interior design with James and Philippa Thorp.
