Gough is made MD in Cambridge

By Press Gazette

Andrew Gough has been appointed managing director at Cambridge Newspapers. He replaces David Fordham, who has been promoted to executive chairman of the group’s newspaper business.

Gough started out on the Tamworth Herald as a junior reporter and went on to work at the Daily Mail and the Wolverhampton Express & Star. He became deputy editor of the Western Morning News in 1988 and was later made managing director.

Over the next 12 years he held a number of senior management positions within Northcliffe Newspapers, most recently as regional managing director for their titles in Plymouth, Exeter and Torquay.
