Attorney General Lord Goldsmith travelled to Israel yesterday to
investigate whether further action should be taken on murdered
journalists James Miller and Tom Hurndall.
Both men were shot in
the Palestinian refugee camp of Rafah by Israeli troops. Miller, 34,
was shot as he was filming a documentary in May 2003. Hurndall, 22, was
a student journalist who was in Rafah acting as a peace campaigner in
April 2003.
Juries in inquests for the two men found that they
had been unlawfully killed. The families of the two have urged
Goldsmith to consider a prosecution under the Geneva Convention.
