Future's technology title has lured its new editor from its Haymarket rival.
Mike Brook, the former editor of Stuff Magazine, takes up the same position on T3 early next month, returning to the gadgets title he joined in 2000 as editorial assistant.
Brook became T3 reviews editor, before going freelance in 2001. He joined Stuff in May 2003, becoming editor in June 2005. Under his leadership, the magazine reported its highest-ever circulation figures.
Haymarket has promoted its deputy editor Fraser Macdonald, who started at the title on work experience six years ago, to the editorship. The publisher said it plans to advertise the deputy editor position.
Former T3 editor James Beechinor-Collins took up the newly created editor-in-chief role in May and will now, alongside Brook and new publisher, Chris Kerwin, try to establish the magazine's international editions, which include recently launched T3 India.
Stuff editor-in-chief Tom Dunmore said of the changes: "Michael did a great job on the mag for the past year while I was deeply involved in the development of Stuff.tv, our new multimedia gadget website.
"Now that the site is about to launch I can turn my attention back to the magazine, and I couldn't be happier to be working with the guy [Macdonald] I've seen develop from work experience to editor extraordinaire."
