Paul Crosbie, former consumer correspondent of The Sun, has launched a media/PR consultancy – Crosbie Communications.
He plans to specialise in consumer issues, advising companies and organisations on their publicity and dealings with the press.
Crosbie left The Sun in December after almost five years with the paper. He was previously consumer editor of the Daily Express and the first journalist on a tabloid to undertake this role.
Previously he had been deputy news editor of the Daily Express and held senior positions with the London Daily News, the Daily Mail and the Press Association.
“I have worked at the highest level in papers and with the best professionals in the business,” said Crosbie. “I believe my extensive experience of covering consumer issues as a reporter gives me an unrivalled perspective into the needs of the media and the expectations of business.”
He intends to provide a personalised service and to concentrate on specific projects rather than compete with agencies which offer a comprehensive package.
