Empire held strong as the UK’s biggest selling film title, while all four magazines in the home entertainment and DVD sector showed a decline during the past six months.
Empire reported an ABC of 190,659, up 15.9 per cent year-on-year, under new editor Colin Kennedy.
Total Film was up 5.4 per cent to 90,580 following a redesign in November, which featured a new logo and extra pages.
In contrast, Hotdog, the film magazine launched by James Brown before it was sold to Paragon Publishing, declined 20.1 per cent to 17,132.
DVD Review topped the home entertainment market despite a decrease of 10.8 per cent to 38,735, followed by Total DVD, which was down 2.1 per cent to 20,348.
