The editor
of Zest has also become its publisher in what publisher NatMags claims
is a first for the glossy magazine sector, writes Alyson Fixter.
Alison
Pylkkanen, who has edited the women’s health title for the past four
years, will now focus on both the editorial and commercial activities
of the magazine.
She said the role of editor-publisher made sense
because “everything we do is about growing the brand, whether
editorially or commercially”.
She added: “This is particularly the case for a title with a very specific focus in a very specific market.”
Justine
Southall, group publishing director, said: “Alison has been
successfully editing magazines for nine years and she is particularly
exceptional in that she has the talent and ability to focus on all the
activities of the Zest brand.”
