TV screenwriter Richard Curtis (pictured above) is to be the star speaker at this year’s Newspaper Press Fund lunch in Glasgow.
The
writer of Blackadder, Vicar of Dibley, Four Weddings and a Funeral and
Notting Hill is expected to use the platform to speak about the Make
Poverty History campaign, which is expected to mount a huge
demonstration at the July G8 summit in Gleneagles.
Curtis is
expected to be joined at the lunch, being held on May 27 at the
Radisson hotel in Glasgow, by another as-yet-unnamed special guest.
Tickets are available from Lorraine Woods on 0141 309 3285.
