Paul Clements has moved from associate editor to deputy editor at BA’s High Life magazine.
Clements, who became editor of the Pink Paper at the age of 21, has worked for The Mail on Sunday’s Night and Day and Time Out, and recently turned to travel writing.
Since becoming deputy, Clements says his responsibilities are now much broader.
“It’s a bit more pastoral than journalistic,” he said. “I had a section to look after before, but now I overlook features and so on. I’m a jack of all trades and master of none.”
The move is one of many ongoing changes at the magazine, such as the recent appointment of editor Alex Finer and a proposed change in design. “We’re revamping the magazine and I’m looking forward to working on that and tweaking the changes,” said Clements.
“We’ve just won a contract to keep doing the magazine for a few more years and it’s making more money than ever before.”
