The Aberdeen Evening Express has made three new appointments to its senior team.
Damian Bates has been signed up as deputy editor and Jonathan Lee and Richard Prest have been made assistant editors.
Bates joins the Evening Express from the Telegraph & Argus, Bradford, where he is assistant editor responsible for news and features.
He was formerly news editor of the T&A, deputy news editor of The News, Portsmouth, and crime reporter and deputy business editor of the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette.
Lee returns to the Evening Express from The Gazette, Blackpool. He worked on the paper in 1995 as a feature writer before moving to the Edinburgh Evening News. Before becomiong assistant editor at The Gazette, Lee was assistant editor of the Westmorland Illustrated and features editor of the Westmorland Gazette.
Prest is currently the Evening Express news editor and was previously chief reporter and crime reporter.
