The shortlist for the British Society of Magazine Editors’ Innovation Award has been revealed.
Originally known as the “I wish I’d done that” Award, this year the category has been expanded to include brand building initiatives as well as one-off brilliant ideas.
The editors shortlisted are:
Celia Duncan, CosmoGIRL! , for the Teen Voice Campaign to get teens’ voices heard by decision makers.
Nigel Evans, The London Magazine, for the London’s Greenest Borough campaign.
Jean Gray, Nursing Standard, for the Nursing the Future Campaign to “talk up” nursing.
Gill Hudson, Radio Times , for the 40th anniversary of Doctor Who special, photographing the four surviving Doctors and creating interlinking covers.
Colin Kennedy, Empire , for the world’s first fully 3-D lenticular magazine cover.
Catherine Monk, Build It , for House Race, a TV show race to build a house in two weeks.
The winner will be announced at the BSME awards dinner at the London Hilton on 22 November
.
