Five News has reprised veteran reporter Martin Bell’s role as war correspondent by appointing him to provide analysis, in the event of a second war with Iraq.
Bell, who reported for the BBC on the Gulf War 11 years ago, will supplement Five News’s on-the-ground coverage with his expert insight from its London studio.
Bell was the only war correspondent attached to the 7th Armoured Brigade (Desert Rats) in 1991.
He was signed up by Five News last year along with a number of other veteran reporters, including Sandy Gall, Michael Brunson, Carol Barnes and Angela Rippon.
