Publisher Jonathan Stock has resigned from Architect's Journal,
following his wife and AJ editor Isabel Allen's decision to leave the
title in February.
Emap is in the process of interviewing for a
replacement for Allen, who is still at the title but leaves within the
next two weeks. She is leaving to become design director for a project
dedicated to building sustainable housing.
Stock is also moving to take up a position within architecture at architectural model and projects firm Pipers.
Emap
Construct managing director Ben Greenish said he hoped to appoint an
acting editor and possibly acting publisher in the interim. Allen will
also appoint an acting news editor before she leaves in April to
replace Ed Dorrell, who also announced his departure in February.
Greenish said Emap's restructuring so far had not affected its B2B business.
"We
don't envisage any editorial or content changes," he said. "Emap
Communications runs a pretty tight ship. We are looking to change some
of our work practices as we move into GLH [the branch's new premises in
Camden] but they are largely functional things where we might have
duplicate activities in the same building."
