Ilford Recorder senior editorial assistant Pat Parry overcame her biggest fear by completing a parascend while on holiday in Tenerife to raise £321 to support the paper’s Building for Life campaign with Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Herts Comet editor Darren Isted ran the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours 15 minutes to raise £940 for the Keech Cottage Hospice and the Mulberry Bush Appeal.

“We have £40,000 in the Archant Gold pot for next year and are keen to use as much of it as possible to give to our employees’ favourite charities,” said Archant Gold committee chairman, company secretary John Ellison. The sum raised has been matched by the company under its Gold scheme.
