US-based editor Isobel McKenzie-Price will head IPC’s online homes portal, due to launch in May.
McKenzie-Price will return to the UK from her role as editor of Time Inc’s All You in the US. She will become editorial director of IPC’s homes title, Ideal Home, and the division’s forthcoming online launch.
McKenzie-Price previously spent six years in several senior editorial roles at IPC. She replaces Sue Rose, who, after three years as editor of Ideal Home, is leaving “to pursue a greater work-life balance and a career that allows her to spend more time with her family”, said IPC.
Jackie Newcombe, managing director of IPC Southbank, said of McKenzie- Price’s appointment, which she takes up in July: “Who better to take the helm of our flagship title and launch the country’s biggest homes portal? Isobel exudes passion for this market, both online and offline, and she will undoubtedly strengthen our position in what is a key market for us.”
