Managing director of Newsquest’s York division, Liz Page, has left the company to join Archant.
Page has accepted a new role as regional managing director at Archant Life, publishers of country magazines and French titles.
Page,
who was editor of the Evening Press in York prior to moving into
management at Newsquest, was president of the Society of Editors in
2001.
She is also a board member of the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
In
her new position Page will be responsible for the northern division,
including titles in Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire & Derbyshire.
Archant
Life managing director Johnny Hustler said: “We are delighted that Liz
has decided to join us. We believe that her skill and understanding of
local media will accelerate Archant Life’s growth.”
