Chris McCafferty has been appointed to the new post of head of PR and corporate affairs by MSN UK.
McCafferty,
who leaves MSN’s longtime agency The Red Consultancy after eight years,
will be responsible for PR and communications across the company.
His
remit includes growing MSN’s stature as a media owner among the
advertising community and enhancing its reputation as a responsible
business in areas such as child internet safety.
He will also be
charged with improving consumer awareness of new prod products such as
MSN search and the upgraded Hotmail service.
Gillian Kent,
director of MSN UK said: “Chris joins us with a wealth of MSN,
Microsoft and wider experience and is a great addition to the business.
“We
expect him to break new ground, give us a fresh strategic direction,
and enhance the brand and reputation of MSN across trade, consumer and
corporate audiences.”
McCafferty described his new job at MSN as “a fantastically varied and New ground: McCafferty exciting challenge”.
