Fashion and lifestyle magazine Jaunt is expected to be sold within the next few days. The title, aimed at the “minibreak generation”, was launched in July 2003 by Sibella Publishing and former Loaded and More! editors John Perry and Tammy Butt.
Targeted at 25 to 35-year-old women, the aim was to cash in on the growth of low-cost airlines, with a glamorous take on the best minibreaks, the best hotels, style and celebrities.
Despite securing £1m backing at launch, Jaunt has had to compete with the cover-mounts and deep pockets of existing women’s monthlies, such as In Style, Elle and Vogue. It was still unclear this week whether Perry and Butt would remain with the title.
Jaunt had a monthly print run of 60,000. Perry claimed sales were growing last autumn with sales of 30,000.
