Andrew Allan, picture editor at the Scottish Daily Mail, is retiring after seven-and-a-half years at the title. He previously worked at the Daily Record and Sunday Mail as a photographer and picture editor.
He was presented with an oil painting of North Berwick and a glass replica of the Claret Jug (The Open championship trophy) by the many freelances and staff photographers who have worked with and for him over the past 40 years.
Allan plans to play more golf and spend time with his wife Norma and their grandchildren.
