Lorna Dolan, the Financial Times deputy home news editor, has been promoted to arts editor. Dolan started at the FT in 1995 on the night news-editing team.
Previously, she was a freelance based in Hamburg and London, contributing to The Independent, the Evening Standard, The Times Literary Review and The Listener. She started her career as a theatre director and she also set up a fringe theatre group in Oxford.
