Andrew Doyle has been promoted from Asia editor to news editor at Flight International magazine.
He plans to introduce changes to the news operation and has already split aviation coverage into business and light aircraft sections.
Doyle trained as an aeronautical engineer before studying journalism. He joined Flight International, the weekly title for the aviation industry, in 1995 as a technical reporter and in 1997 joined Air Transport International as a reporter.
In 1998 he returned to Flight International as Munich Correspondent, based in central and Eastern Europe. In March 2001 he moved to Singapore and became Asia editor for both titles.
