Independent House, the new offices of The North West Telegraph in Derry, Northern Ireland, have been officially opened by Sir Anthony O’Reilly, executive chairman of Independent News & Media.
Speaking at the event, O’Reilly said: “Providing a local product is particularly important to us and we have not only rebranded the paper as The North West Telegraph but also launched the very successful North West Telegraph Weekly Edition, a 32-page tabloid published every Wednesday.
“Our investment to The North West Telegraph is showing encouraging results. Sales have grown by 18 per cent in the past 12 months.
Advertising growth is up nearly a third in the same time, with further growth of more than 50 per cent planned year-on-year. Daily readership regularly exceeds 30,000.”
