magazine aimed at the same demographic as the glossy monthlies, but
there have been failed attempts in the past to open up the sector.

Emap has hired six former magazine editors for
the project, and the team is headed up by Fiona McIntosh, formerly
editor of Elle. Grazia publisher Abby Carvosso said: “Not only will
this be the biggest launch of 2005, and the largest investment ever
made in a UK magazine launch, but Grazia will also herald a new era of
women’s magazines.”
