Staff on the Dartford Messenger were on hand to get the paper to
readers when delivery lorries came to a standstill during Kent’s
heaviest snowfall for years.
The editorial and sales team lugged
bundles of papers to the streets and took it in turns to sell copies of
the Kent Messenger Group title from a stall in a local shopping centre
and from shops around the town.
Community editor Denise Eaton
said: “The action taken by the Dartford Messenger team demonstrates
enormous commitment to our readers, advertisers and customers. I am
incredibly proud of such unwavering dedication and determination.”
